Workshop Overview
Leveraging Coaching as an Employee Retention Tool
Employee retention is a key metric in measuring a healthy workplace and the #1 reason employees are leaving companies is to find growth opportunities.
Growth for your employees doesn’t always equal promotions and pay raises. What do employees mean by growth opportunities?
Employees are looking for managers that can coach them through taking risks, advocating for change, and leading more strategic projects.

Coaching is the #1 requested skill in manager training today.
So, what is coaching?
Coaching isn't tangible, so it can be difficult to describe until you experience it. The International Coaching Federation does a great job of capturing its essence: Coaching is the process of "partnering with colleagues or clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
Who is this for?
New managers, senior managers, HR leaders, and anyone else responsible for manager success.

You do not need any previous coaching experience to participate. Please be ready to actively participate in the training.
What to Expect at the Workshop
This is a virtual practice-based training where you will:
-
Define coaching and how it's different than giving feedback
-
Explore the foundations of coaching, including intention setting, advanced active listening, and dynamic questioning
-
Understand how to measure the success of coaching and its impact on employee retention to help you advocate for additional resources
-
Practice coaching! This is a skill that requires action - it’s not something that can be learned through recorded videos.

I know coaching is working because the quality of my report backs after projects and my feelings toward goal setting have improved. It has become a safe place where I can dedicate time to my workplace-related concerns and goals. I highly recommend giving coaching a try!
